This excellent ESC for running Beetle weapons is running a modern firmware (BLHeli_32) which has been pre-configured for weapon motor use.
NOTE: The manufacturer has switched to AM32 firmware for these ESCs, but in their infinite wisdom, did so midway through a manufacturing run, so we have mixed AM32 and BLHeli32 ESCs in stock at the moment, and they are all marked as BLHeli32. If you connect your ESC to program as BLHeli32, and it fails to connect with an error to the effect of "Chip ID XXX not valid for BLHeli" or something like that, then it's probably an AM32 one, so you need to program it as AM32!
For help programming BLHeli or AM32 please see the following pages on our site:

BLHeli_32 firmware allows for some great features, such as Current and Thermal protection, as well as allowing communication to the receiver via PWM, or via SBUS (for lighter smaller receivers and less wires).
Also these ESCs support returning telemetry information about voltage, current, temperature, RPM, etc from the weapon motor (provided you have a receiver capable of it, and it is wired correctly).
These were chosen specifically due to their high current capacity, coupled with small lightweight packages with no frills.
It's relatively easy to reprogram these using an Arduino or similar to make your own USB Flasher, but we also stock actual BLHeli USB Flasher devices for these as well to make reprogramming them simple.
