Next Antweight meet is 16 Dec at Taplab (from 12pm onwards)
The plan is to update the Ant Arena from this event forward to have higher end walls and pit doors that drop after two minutes to reduce the amount of accidental arena outs and short matches we saw at the Nationals.
This brings it more in line with the Beetle Arena and helps keep the matches interesting to watch.
That said, any two bots can agree to have pit doors open from the start. This may be desirable for two push bots.

Its being held in the upstairs room, opposite the TapLab.
Entry into the building should be via the rear doors.

See locally-made robots battle to see who is the toughest and best engineered robot in the arena at this one-day extravaganza, presented by digital makerspace Te Atatu Peninsula Digital Lab (TAP:Lab). Robots are pre-built by the roboteers themselves, who will be available for questions, and (if you ask nicely) might even let you take home pieces of the the wrecked carcasses of fallen bots. If you wish to enter, taplab.nz will be running courses and making 3D printers available for contestants in the months prior to the contest.
There will be robots of all shapes and sizes; art robots, puzzle solving robots, play robot soccer, watch 3D printers, learn to code and more.
Come dressed as a robot and you could be in to win a prize!
